Windsurfing: Levington Wind Direction: S Wind Stength: 10+ Surf / Sea State: slight Air Temperature: 25 Sea Temperature: 17 Weather: sunny Max Speed: 23.2 (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: 22.3 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)
I started off at The dip with my son,he used 7.5/Lightning and I used
8.5/Xantos but after one run the sea was very lumpy so decided to try the
river at Levington.
We arrived 2 hours before high and used above accept I swopped to the
carve. The wind had too much S in it to be as good as our previous visits
,we had a good time in the bay to the left of the marina where I showed Rob
water starting bascis where the shallow water was as warm as a bath !!!!
He then had a go on the carve and went well.
After lunch I switched to the cat with 8.5 and beat down the river turned
by the container ships and sailed up the Stour past Shotley and then
reached back up river which was great fun.The only regret I should have
rigged 9.4.I covered over 22 miles and had 3.30 hrs on the water
